The Panther Gym's group boxing classes are becoming one of the most popular ways for men and women to learn practical fighting skills and get in shape.

Boxing trains the muscles and cardiovascular system in a way few other sports can. It teaches balance, speed and power, and tests athletes both physically and mentally.Our group classes are suitable for everyone. Sparring is optional and physical contact is not mandatory.

It offers students the opportunity to experience the physical training necessary to become a boxer without the risk of hand-to-hand combat.

The Panther Gym is renowned for its facilities and training atmosphere, and is a mandatory destination for professional boxers training and living in the Edmonton area. Over the years, The Panther Gym has been the home to numerous world class fighters, a few of which have garnered international recognition. It has also been the favorite training stop for international fighters coming through Edmonton, the most famous of which was Mike Tyson who trained here in 1989.

Group Boxing Class Prices

Class prices are determined by the membership type that you have. See chart below to determine your class price.

  • Drop-in $15
  • Facility Member Drop-In $10
  • Full Privilege Member $0 (as a Full Privilege Member, you are entitled to attend all weeknight boxing & kickboxing classes at no additional cost)

Boxing Basics Class

As part of our regular weeknight classes, one class a week will be dedicated to covering the basics of boxing.

Who Should Attend? All new students should attend this class for sure. If you can only attend one class a week, this is the one new students should not miss.

Who Else Should Attend? Even experienced students can always use a refresher. Boxing is a sport of mastering the basics. Although the material taught in Boxing Basics class may be basic, the conditioning will still be as challenging as what you have come to expect from Panther Gym.

Competitive Boxing Program

Panther Gym offers an amateur boxing program for individuals who wish to box competitively (or are considering it - competition is NOT mandatory).

Sunday Boxing Class

Every Sunday morning, Panther Gym teaches a Boxing Class from 11:00am - 12:00pm. Prices are $15/class or $40 for a 4-class block.

Weekday Morning Class
Get Your Day Off to the Right Start!

Panther Gym offers morning Boxing/Fitness classes every Tuesday and Friday from 6:15am - 7:15am.

Prices are $15/class or $80 for a 8-class block.

Sparring Workshop Classes

Due to increased interest in sparring, Panther Gym will be conducting drop-in sparring workshops for members only during the month of August. These sessions will feature training and tips on how to spar effectively and safely.

Students will have an opportunity to spar instructors as well as other students with coaching, feedback and drills in between rounds.

Price: $10/ class
NOTE: Not open to non-members or carded amateur fighters.

Schedule: 5:00pm - 6:00pm
